Kaptavis team reviewing retirement capital analysis
About Us

Clarity, discipline, and measured risk management

Kaptavis was built on a simple conviction: retirement capital deserves rigorous analysis, not guesswork. Here's who we are and how we work.

Our Story

Why Kaptavis exists

Kaptavis started from a straightforward observation: most people approaching retirement are offered either generic advice or opaque products, with little in between. We set out to build a different kind of resource — one grounded in transparent data, clear reasoning, and a willingness to explain the tradeoffs rather than hide them.

That starting point still shapes how we operate today. Every tool, report, and recommendation we produce is designed to be understood, questioned, and verified — not simply trusted on faith. We'd rather show our work than ask for blind confidence.

Our Mission

Decision support built on measured risk

Our mission is to give people approaching or already in retirement the analytical tools to make informed decisions about their capital — without overstating certainty or minimising risk. We believe good decisions come from seeing the full picture, including the parts that are uncomfortable.

That means presenting ranges rather than false precision, explaining assumptions rather than burying them, and treating every user as capable of understanding the reasoning behind a recommendation.

Our Values

What guides our work

These principles inform every decision we make, from how we build our analysis to how we communicate it.

T
Transparency in methodology and assumptions
R
Disciplined, measured approach to risk
C
Clarity over complexity in every explanation
I
Independence from product-driven incentives
Our Team

How our work is organised

Kaptavis brings together disciplines that rarely sit in the same room: quantitative analysis, risk modelling, and plain-language communication. Our work is organised around three core functions.

01

Research & Analysis

Building and testing the data models that underpin every projection and scenario we present.

02

Risk Management

Stress-testing assumptions and identifying where outcomes could diverge from expectations.

03

Client Guidance

Translating analysis into language that's useful for real decisions, not just technically accurate.
